The Shape of Ye Menu
What We Can Do
Grand shop design and smart visual setups — made just right for the way folks shop in Northern Ireland and beyond.
01
A Plan to suit you
You might need a fresh look at the place. You might need your floor space sorted. You might need the whole shop gutted and done again. The Shape of Ye can dive in wherever suits — from a quick dander through the store to detailed CAD plans, window displays, and full retail makeovers.
02
Something bigger needed?
A brave few jobs start with a quick yarn and a coffee. Others might need a bit more of a plan first, especially if there's lots of hands on deck or big installs to manage. No bother at all. We'll set the scope to suit the work, making sure the right folk and the right gear are ready to go from the very start.

THE WALKTHROUGH
VM Consultation
From £145

A fresh pair of experienced eyes on your store.
We’ll walk the space together and look at first impressions, customer flow, product placement, displays, signage, lighting and the opportunities you might be missing.
You’ll leave with practical ideas that you and your team can implement yourselves.
Best for:
Independent retailers who want to improve their store without commissioning a full design project.
Includes:
Up to 90 minutes in-store plus a short follow-up action summary.
02
THE HEALTH CHECK
Store Review & Action Plan
From £295
A deeper look at how your store is performing visually and commercially.
From the shopfront to the till point, I’ll review the customer journey and identify where changes could make the biggest difference.
You’ll receive a clear, prioritised action plan showing what to tackle first.
Best for:
Stores that know something isn’t quite working but aren’t sure where to start.
03
THE WINDOW
Window Design
From £495
A complete creative concept for your next window.
From moodboard and product placement through to materials, graphics and layout, the aim is to create something that gets noticed — while still being realistic to produce and install.
Depending on the project, SketchUp visuals and installation guidance can also be included.
Best for:
Seasonal campaigns, launches, events and brand moments.
Please note:
Materials, props, print, manufacture and installation are quoted separately where required.
Some window projects may require a separate creative or production brief, particularly where multiple suppliers, detailed fabrication or installation support is involved.
04
RETAIL EVENT DESIGN
From £450
Got a launch, pop-up or wee retail moment that needs to look the part?
I’ll design the space around the event — from the overall look and feel through to layout, customer flow, product presentation, displays, signage and the finishing touches that pull the whole thing together.
Perfect for:
Product launches
Pop-ups
Seasonal events
Brand activations
In-store events
Temporary retail spaces
You’ll receive a clear design direction and plan to help bring the event to life.
Based on a small-to-medium retail event space. Larger or more complex spaces will be quoted individually.
Materials, print, props, production and installation/set-up are not included unless requested and quoted separately

01

Sometimes the biggest difference starts with the floor plan.
I can create clear scaled layouts showing how your space could work better — including fixture positioning, customer flow, zoning and key display areas.
From a straightforward existing plan to a fully proposed retail layout, the level of detail is shaped around the project.
Best for:
Refits, relocations, department moves, new fixtures and stores that simply need to work harder
02
THE REFRESH
Store Refresh
From £750
Not every store needs ripping apart and starting again.
A refresh looks at what you already have and asks:
What can stay?
What can move?
What can work harder?
That could mean improving the layout, repositioning fixtures, introducing stronger visual focal points, updating signage, reviewing colour and materials or creating a clearer customer journey.
Wherever possible, existing fixtures and materials are reused, repurposed or adapted.
Best for:
Businesses that want meaningful change without the cost or waste of a full redesign.
Your fee covers the agreed design, planning and recommendations.
Materials, manufacture, graphics, installation and any specialist contractor costs are additional and quoted separately where required.
A refresh may also need a supporting brief for specific elements such as signage, graphics, fixture changes or installation
03
THE REDESIGN
Full Retail Design
Quoted to brief
This is where we properly get stuck in.
A full redesign begins with The Shape of It — my client briefing process that gets underneath the business, the customer, the space and what the project genuinely needs to achieve.
From there, the project could include:
Customer journey strategy
Space planning
CAD layouts
Zoning
Fixture concepts
SketchUp visuals
Materials and finishes
Lighting direction
Window concepts
Signage and graphics
Supplier recommendations
Contractor briefs
Project support
Some elements of a full redesign may require their own detailed briefs, particularly fixture design, signage, graphics, lighting, fabrication or installation. These can be developed as part of the wider project or scoped separately, depending on what the project needs.
No two stores are the same, so every full redesign is scoped and priced individually.
Your project fee covers the agreed design and consultancy scope.
Fixtures, materials, manufacture, print, installation, contractors and other third-party costs are additional unless specifically included in your proposal

TRAINING
VM MADE SIMPLE
Good visual merchandising shouldn’t live only in the head of one person.
I offer practical VM training designed to give teams the confidence to understand why things work, not just where to put them.
Training can be tailored around your own store, products and challenges.
Topics can include:
First impressions
Customer journey
Product placement
Creating focal points
Commercial displays
Colour and composition
Window fundamentals
Store standards
Seasonal changeovers
90-Minute Session
From £395
Focused training around one core topic.
Half-Day Workshop
From £595
A more interactive session combining practical examples, discussion and exercises.
Full-Day Workshop
From £895
A complete VM development day tailored to your business and team.
For larger teams or more complex training programmes, the session may be supported by a separate training brief covering objectives, content, materials and follow-up.

Thinking a bit bigger?
THE PLAN
CAD & Store Layout
From £350

05
SOMETHING ELSE?
Retail projects don’t always fit neatly into a package
You might need:
A one-off CAD visual
Help designing a fixture
A seasonal department plan
A graphic brief
Supplier support
A second opinion on a design
Help taking a concept through to installation
That’s absolutely fine.
Bespoke Consultancy
From £65 per hour
Some of these projects may need a short brief of their own so we can agree the purpose, deliverables, timescale and any third parties involved before work begins.

Designed With A Bit More Thought.
Wherever practical, The Shape of Ye looks first at what can be reused, repurposed or upcycled before recommending something new.
When new materials or services are needed, I aim to prioritise responsible suppliers and source locally wherever practical — helping reduce waste, unnecessary transport and the overall footprint of a project.
Because the best solution isn’t always the newest one.
It’s the one that makes the most sense.
NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
That’s what the first conversation is for.
Tell me a little about your store, your challenge and what you’d like to change.
We’ll work out the right shape of project from there — including whether any part of the work needs a more detailed brief
Pricing note
All prices shown are starting design and consultancy fees and are subject to project scope.
Materials, manufacture, print, installation, travel, specialist contractors and other third-party costs are additional unless otherwise stated or specifically included within your proposal
